BEYOND HAVANA

Vinales Valley & Sierra Maestra

In the west, the Vinales Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, unfolds in a landscape of limestone mogotes, red-earth tobacco fields, and quiet farming communities best explored by bicycle.

The Sierra Maestra mountains in the east offer genuine wilderness trekking, following trails through dense cloud forest to Pico Turquino, Cuba’s highest peak at 1,974 metres.

COLONIAL HEART

Trinidad & the Southern Coast

The colonial city of Trinidad, frozen in time since the sugar boom of the 1800s, is a gem of cobbled streets and terracotta rooftops backed by the Topes de Collantes nature reserve.

Along the south coast, the Bay of Pigs offers some of the Caribbean’s finest snorkelling over pristine coral reefs, far from the crowds.

Practical Information

UK visitors require a Tourist Card (visa) to enter Cuba, which can be obtained as an e-Visa online before departure. Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your date of entry. After a visit to Cuba you can no longer travel to the USA on an ESTA and will need a US visa instead, so plan any US trip with that in mind. Our team will guide you through the application process when you book.
